At the Seisuke Knife Festival 2026, we are honored to welcome Komai-san of Bar Centifolia, who has gained attention on social media, as a special guest. Set in the historic heart of Asakusa, this event will showcase the skills of master artisans, exceptional cuisine, and unique entertainment.
Held at Asakusa Kagekijo Theater (inside Hanayashiki Amusement Park) in Tokyo’s Asakusa district, the event will bring together skilled craftsmen, food enthusiasts, and musicians. Through live demonstrations, exhibitions, and presentations, guests will gain a deeper appreciation of the history and master craftsmanship behind Japanese knives.
This premium, one-day-only celebration will welcome approximately 300 guests. In the historic setting of Asakusa, attendees can enjoy live forging demonstrations by master craftsmen, traditional performances, and immersive experiences that engage all five senses. After the event, guests will also have the special privilege of enjoying exclusive access to Japan’s oldest amusement park, Hanayashiki, reserved privately for festival attendees.
Guests will also have the rare opportunity to interact directly with some of Japan’s leading artisans, including Yu Kurosaki, Yoshimi Kato, Takumi Ikeda, and Kazuo Nomura. You can observe traditional forging techniques up close and even test the sharpness of Japanese knives yourself.
Throughout the event, seasonal drinks, light refreshments, live music, and sushi will be served. Attendees will also have the opportunity to purchase knives directly from the artisans at special event prices, along with a complimentary engraving service.
